Freshly prepared meals, familiar favourites and enjoyable dining experiences every day.

Mealtimes are an important part of daily life at The Old Vicarage. Our residents enjoy freshly prepared meals, varied menus and the opportunity to dine in a warm and sociable environment. Whether it’s a favourite traditional dish or something new to try, we believe good food brings comfort, enjoyment and people together.
We cater for all dietary preferences and modified diets, and we don’t just assume we know best. We run regular resident surveys and house meetings so the people who actually eat here have a real say in what’s on the menu.
It’s a small thing that makes a real difference — because food should feel personal, not institutional.
We ask regularly, we listen carefully and we act on what we hear. Residents help shape the menus, because it’s their home after all. Every voice matters, and every opinion helps us create a place where people truly feel at home.
We take our baking seriously. Whether it’s a birthday, a Tuesday, or no particular reason at all, there’s usually something fresh out of the oven. We’re also one of the few homes with a special bedtime menu because hunger doesn’t keep office hours.
From afternoon cake to a late-night bite, we think comfort should always be within reach. No one should feel like they missed out. Whether it’s a favourite biscuit, fresh fruit or a homemade treat, there’s always something to enjoy.

At The Old Vicarage, we believe that good food plays an important role in wellbeing, comfort and quality of life. Mealtimes are a chance to enjoy delicious home-cooked food, spend time with friends and look forward to a familiar daily routine. Our team takes pride in creating enjoyable dining experiences that residents can look forward to every day.
Food is an important part of feeling at home, and we take great pride in the meals we serve every day. We’d love to show you what we mean. Book a visit and come and see, taste & enjoy it for yourself.
